MOLLY ROSENBERG

Molly Rosenberg grew up in Newton Massachusetts where she currently resides. She spent her younger years collecting stickers, collaging random pieces of magazines, and doodling all over her elementary school worksheets. She has been exploring her love for art at Beaver Country Day School for four years, narrowing her interests and finding where her true creative passions lie. She also devoted plenty of time outside of school to further this hobby to a lifestyle. In 2017, she took her work public and founded Molllaaart, a modern-art inspired business and social media page. Colors, patterns, graphic design, and people blend together all over her website and Instagram page. Next fall, Molly will be attending Cornell University where she will study marketing & management, hopefully with a minor in graphic design. She is not yet sure what her future holds, but creating art is one constant that will always stick with her.

I have always been attracted to color, I dutifully notice its presence in all aspects of my life: as I walk down the street, watch my television shows, see flyers in a local restaurant, or even stroll through the grocery store. This love for colors naturally occurring around me led to my decision to explore them on my own. Art does not have to be concrete. For me, art is a form of happiness, excitement, and inspiration. I love that I can simply let my marker wander and create whatever I feel. Art is a collection of color, along with various graphics, feelings, and abstractness. When in the studio, or my at-home-DIY-studio, I am constantly gathering things that inspire me; this includes people, faces, colors, patterns, aesthetics, words, designs, and others’ artwork. I try not to overthink when I am creating; I let my ideas flow and go wherever the marker takes me. My work aims to evoke a feeling and cause you to take a second look.
